Getting Started with Claude Code
I'll show you how to build apps, dashboards, and tools with ease
Hey there,
Over the past few years, I’ve had a few wow moments with AI. Moments when a development caught me completely off guard. Like the first time I was able to generate truly stunning images with Midjourney.
A few weeks ago, that happened again. With Claude Code, I could suddenly build apps and tools. Without any programming knowledge whatsoever.
And it works flawlessly.
Here are a few examples of tools I’ve built:
A practice app for MBA students, based on a theoretical model I had explained in class.
An app for my Strategic Foresight workshops, where participants submit and cluster strategic actions and innovation ideas.
An application that automatically processes incoming invoices in my accounting system.
A simulation tool for Biomedical Engineering and Technical Medicine students on the adoption of innovative technology.
A dashboard that gives me insight into the performance of my website and YouTube channel.
The more I build, the more ideas I get.
I’m excited to share that enthusiasm, so in this newsletter I’ll show you how you can do the same.
Enjoy the read!

Claude Code tips
Building your own tools makes innovation projects faster and more affordable. Without any programming knowledge.
But how do you do that if you can’t code? You should try Claude Code.
These are 3 tips to get started:
Start with a concrete use case. Don’t experiment for the sake of it. Think of a real tool you actually need: a dashboard, a practice app, an invoice processor. The more specific, the better Claude Code understands what to build.
You don’t need to know how to code. Claude Code handles the technical side. Your job is to describe clearly what the tool should do. Think like a user, not a developer.
The more you build, the more ideas you get. Getting started is the hardest part. Once you’ve built your first tool, you’ll automatically start seeing opportunities everywhere. That’s the ‘parkour vision’ effect: you’ll look at problems differently.
In this Dutch video, I show how Claude Code works, including a live demo and these tips to get started right away.
In a few weeks, I'm releasing an English video about Claude Code and vibe coding on my channel. In this video I want to answer the question:
How does vibe coding impact innovation projects and processes within organizations?
If you have any thoughts, insights, or experience, I'd love to hear from you. Hit reply or leave a comment.
And more…
Articles, books, podcasts, and videos on this topic.
A great piece in TechCrunch on micro-apps being built with vibe coding tools.
Ethan Mollick, author of the book Co-Intelligence, wrote an accessible explainer if you want to get started with Claude Code.
A great term from Jasmine Sun for this development: parkour vision. As a user, you’ll start looking at software differently. Just like a parkour athlete sees a city differently than you or I do.
I found this analysis by David Oks interesting. TLDR: software is becoming ultra-processed, which is what happened with food not too long ago. A greater distinction in software is emerging: existing software companies will need to focus on innovation to differentiate themselves.
🙏 Thank you
